Leland Heywood's Accident, 1955

[This letter[1] is on the back of a letter of notification for a Coleman Family reunion which was held on 30 April 1955.  It was written by Joseph Neal Heywood, Jr. to his daughter, Mary, and son-in-law, Chester (Chet) Lewis.]

Dear Chet & Mary,

Maybe you will want to go to this gathering and find about other relatives.
Uncle Leland had quite a serious accident the 15th when thrown from his bicycle against the curb, striking his head and losing a lot of blood from cut artery.  Was given a transfusion.  Pearl wrote me.  Likely not critical.

May be down toward end of week.  Expect Mother will be back.
